Jaipur: The Central Government has rejected Rajasthan’s request to bring back four IAS officers who have been serving in Delhi for an extended period.
According to the report, the Rajasthan government’s Department of Personnel had written to the Centre twice this year, seeking the return of the four officers to the state. However, the request has now been turned down.
One of the officers has reportedly been posted outside Rajasthan for the past nine years. The state government had sought their return to strengthen its administrative workforce.
The decision means that Rajasthan will not get the four officers back for the time being, despite its repeated requests. The report does not provide the names of the officers or specify the reasons cited by the Centre for rejecting the proposal.
The issue highlights the state’s efforts to secure the services of officers currently posted outside its administrative cadre. No further details about the Centre’s response or any fresh proposal from the Rajasthan government have been provided.
