Chandigarh Patna Airfares Cross 25,000 Ahead Of Festive Season

Chandigarh: Travellers planning to return home for Diwali and Chhath Puja are facing rising travel costs, with limited train availability and expensive air tickets adding to their difficulties.

Airfares on the Chandigarh–Patna route have reportedly crossed 25,000, making air travel costly for passengers heading to Bihar during the festive period.

Train seats are also in short supply, with several services already crowded as people make plans to travel home for the celebrations. With railway options becoming difficult to secure and flight fares increasing, many passengers are now relying on bus services.

Due to the Diwali and Chhath Puja rush, flights are operating from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport in Chandigarh to destinations including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Kolkata and Mumbai.

The increased demand for travel during the festive season has put pressure on available transport options. Passengers are having to consider alternative routes and modes of travel to reach their hometowns.

For many people travelling from Chandigarh to Bihar, the combination of high airfares and crowded trains has made festive journeys more expensive and challenging. Buses are emerging as an alternative for those unable to find affordable flight tickets or confirmed train seats.
