Ayodhya Conducts Deepotsav Rehearsal Ahead Of Grand Diwali Celebrations

Ayodhya: Preparations for Ayodhya’s Deepotsav celebrations are nearing completion, with rehearsals taking place along the banks of the Saryu River. The rehearsal included the evening aarti at the riverfront, along with trial runs for the planned drone and laser shows.
More than 3 million earthen lamps will be illuminated on Saturday across 56 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi. Organisers are arranging the lamps at all the designated locations, after which oil and cotton wicks will be placed in them for the ceremony.

A grand Maha Aarti will also be performed on the banks of the Saryu by 2,100 monks. The event is expected to be a major attraction of this year’s Deepotsav celebrations.

A 45-minute laser show and a drone show featuring 2,100 drones are also planned as part of the programme. Trial runs have been conducted to check arrangements for these visual presentations.

The Ayodhya Mayor said that all preparations for the celebrations had been completed. The administration and organisers are making arrangements across the ghats to ensure the scheduled events take place smoothly.

The celebrations are expected to draw visitors to Ayodhya for the large-scale lighting ceremony, religious rituals and cultural displays.
