Currently, employees and pensioners in Rajasthan receive DA at the rate of 60%. If the proposed increase is approved, the rate will rise to 63%, providing additional financial support amid inflation-related expenses.
According to the report, the state government is also expected to announce a Diwali bonus soon. However, the details of the proposed bonus, including its amount and eligibility criteria, have not yet been provided.
The anticipated DA revision comes as government employees look forward to financial benefits around the festive season. Dearness Allowance is intended to help employees manage rising living costs, while pensioners receive the corresponding Dearness Relief.
The proposed increase follows the Central Government’s decision to raise DA by 3 percentage points, prompting expectations of a similar revision in Rajasthan. Any additional payment resulting from the change would depend on the official notification and the date from which the revised rates are made applicable.
The report does not specify when the Rajasthan Cabinet will consider the proposal or when an official announcement is expected. Until the government issues a formal order, the increase and Diwali bonus remain anticipated rather than confirmed.
Employees and pensioners will be watching for further details on the revised allowance, payment schedule and festive bonus.
