Mumbai: Actor Imran Khan has tendered an unconditional apology to the Bombay High Court for participating in protests against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. He also assured the court that he would not participate in any such protests in the future.

The High Court was hearing a petition filed by Khan challenging the Leave India Notice (LIN) issued against him. During the proceedings, the court directed the actor to submit an unconditional apology and an undertaking regarding his future participation in protests.

The court also reminded the Central Government of the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which means “the world is one family”. It directed the authorities to allow Khan some time to respond to the Leave India Notice.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for December 7. Until then, the Leave India Notice issued against the actor will remain stayed, according to the report.

The case concerns the notice issued to Khan following his reported participation in protests against the SIR exercise. The next hearing is expected to take up further proceedings in his petition challenging the notice.
